During the Corona virus lockdown, we have been busy creating a new series of three reed beds to purify water into the lakes at Penpol. They run along the gully in the car park, which has been widened and made into three ponds.
These have been plastic lined and filled with water. Reeds will now be planted that will filter water and remove nutrients and sediment. The last step is to run the water over crushed shells that further filter and aerate it before it runs into the stock lake.
